Our duty to educate the public in proper recycling and conservation techniques often takes the form of publications that are distributed through local newspapers and at various events sponsored by the Cambria County Solid Waste Authority. On a quarterly basis, the Cambria County Solid Waste Authority publishes over 60,000 copies of its recycling newsletter, appropriately named "The Recycler". Each one is packed full of up-to-date happenings in the County's recycling efforts. From kid's corner craft ideas and free presentation updates, to policy changes and illegal dumping highlights, "The Recycler" contains pages of recycling information for the residents of Cambria and northern Somerset Counties. The Recycler is inserted on a quarterly basis into the Wednesday editions of the Mountaineer Herald, Tribune Democrat, and Somerset Daily Americans. Copies posted on this website are sized to be printable for your reference and educational purposes only. Periodically, the Cambria County Solid Waste Authority publishes flyers for different meetings, events, or displays. These flyers are meant to increase public knowledge by providing a quick reference for the subject material. Recycling Info Flyer
This is a great introductory flyer for anyone who is not familiar with the Solid Waste Authority and our recycling program. Includes a general overview of what we do, the function of the Big Blue Bins and why recycling is important. Also has images of the bins and a truck unloading one of the bins.
